2021-22 Ticket Prices for North American Ski Resorts

It costs a whole lot of money to go on a ski trip these days—that’s part of the reason why properly researching ski destinations is so important before committing. But given the variable price structure used by nearly every mountain in setting lift ticket prices, it’s not always easy to determine how much a lift ticket will cost. At most resorts, prices heavily depend on when you go and how far in advance you purchase.

After much thought on how to most simply and transparently convey pricing information, we settled on a general metric based on 1-day window rates. This calculation accounts for price fluctuations by time of season as well as expected discounts with advance purchase, and is modeled to reflect the representative behavior of most ski vacationers (more information can be found here). For some of the key trends we found during our analysis, see here.

We also recognize that many of you have already determined the dates of your next trip—or want to see how much of a time cushion you have until the next price increase. Below, you can find the detailed pricing information for each resort by age, date, and time of purchase. We’ve also included ticket rates for specialty products, such as half-day and beginner-only tickets, although we haven’t factored these into our pricing average. While we haven’t included multi-day prices below, consumers can expect discounts of up to 15% for 2+ day tickets.

NOTE: Mount Hood Meadows, Mount Hood Skibowl, Mount Rose, and Sierra-at-Tahoe pricing information is not out yet. Information from these resorts will be added to the list once available.
