Starting now, Copper will no longer require parking reservations for access to the free Alpine and Far East lots, according to a tweet. Access to the paid lots will still be reservation-only. Copper says they will still honor any parking reservations already booked through ParkWhiz.

Our Take

With the COVID situation improving, it seems that Copper no longer feels the need to severely restrict parking. It’s unclear how much space will be in these lots—in fact, Copper’s stated intention to continue honoring reservations suggests that spots available may still de facto set a capacity.

Copper’s parking reservations filled up quickly for peak days, and this is the first time that many people who were unable to secure reservations will be able to go up. Don’t be surprised if it’s packed this weekend.
