Best In-Town Option: Treasure Mountain Inn

Situated in the heart of Park City right on Main Street, Treasure Mountain Inn seamlessly blends convenience and charm. With its prime location, guests have easy access to a variety of restaurants, shops, and art galleries. The hotel offers comfortable rooms, a rustic, local feel, and a relaxing hot tub for unwinding after a day of exploration. While it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Town Lift to get up to the slopes, Treasure Mountain Inn’s strong suits make it our top pick for those seeking to pair lots of time in town with a down-to-earth vibe.

Best Park City Base Accommodation: Silver King Lodge

The Silver King lodge is an excellent choice for visitors looking to pair space with convenience. Located at the base of Park City Mountain Village, this apartment-style hotel exists a few minutes from the Payday and Crescent lifts, allowing guests to hit the slopes with ease. The spacious, well-furnished accommodations make for a vibe that feels much more homey and welcoming than a typical hotel. Excellent amenities, including a hybrid indoor/outdoor pool, a hot tub, and a fitness center, ensure a fantastic experience after the slopes close.

Best Canyons Base Ski-In/Ski-Out: Westgate Park City

Nestled at the base of Canyons Village, Westgate Park City offers luxurious accommodations and very strong amenities. The hotel boasts direct access to the Canyons-side slopes at Park City and provides a range of services, including a ski valet, multiple pools, a full-service spa, and high-class (but pricey) dining options. While the Westgate is a few miles from downtown Park City, the hotel provides complimentary, on-call shuttle service to Main Street. Westgate also offers access to the small, walkable Canyons Village; while much less lively than downtown, this area offers convenient dining and bar options with fewer crowds.

Best Chain Hotel Option: Marriott’s MountainSide

There are a whole host of reasons one might want to stick to a chain hotel, including status, points, or hotel credits. And as far as these offerings go, Marriott’s MountainSide is our favorite Park City option.

Unlike the chain offerings at some other resorts, you’re not really giving up much to stay at this Marriott accommodation. Accommodations range from typical hotel rooms to spacious villas feature fully equipped kitchens, separate living areas, and cozy fireplaces, making them ideal for families and groups. On-site amenities include a heated outdoor pool with incredible slopeside views, a fitness center, and a private movie theater. The hotel provides ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes at the Park City base, but it’s also only about a 10-minute walk from downtown Main Street.

If you happen to have status with Hilton, the Park City DoubleTree sits a short drive away—but does not offer ski-in/ski-out access.

Best Budget Option: Park City Hostel

Park City Hostel provides welcoming and affordable accommodations for budget-conscious travelers. The hostel offers both private and shared rooms, along with communal spaces where guests can relax and socialize. The outgoing staff, clean facilities, and the opportunity to meet fellow travelers make Park City Hostel a top choice for those seeking an affordable and sociable lodging experience. There’s also a full kitchen for those who want to cook rather than eat out.

Most will find Park City Hostel a bit too far to walk directly to Park City's slopes and bustling Main Street, but it sits near a bus stop for Park City’s free, convenient public bus system.

Best Luxury Option: Pendry Park City

For a hotel option that pulls out all the stops, Park City-goers will want to look no further than the Pendry. Pendry Park City is a sanctuary of elegance and refinement, offering spacious rooms and suites adorned with sophisticated furnishings and breathtaking mountain views. Guests can indulge in the resort's lavish amenities, including a world-class spa, an outdoor heated pool, and exquisite dining options. The impeccable service and attention to detail ensure a truly unforgettable stay at Pendry Park City.

While located in the less lively Canyons Village, the Pendry hosts enough on-premise entertainment that guests won’t even feel the need to leave the accommodation most nights.

Final Thoughts

Park City is undoubtedly the best ski town in Utah, and when it comes to accommodations, there are plenty of options to cater to all types of visitors. Whether you’re just looking for a bed or you want your accommodation to provide a true “experience”, the stays on this list will have you covered.

It’s worth noting that while the hotels mentioned above represent some of our favorite accommodations in Park City, larger groups or families may find greater value and flexibility by opting for vacation home rentals through platforms like VRBO or Airbnb. Options like these offer multiple bedrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces, providing a more tailored and cost-effective experience.
