Day 1 – Saturday, March 7 | Arrival in Salt Lake City
11:00 AM – Arrive at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
Collect luggage and gear. Meet your carpool group and begin the 45-minute drive toward your lodging in either Big Cottonwood Canyon or Sandy.
2:00 PM – Check into the accommodations
Get settled! If you brought an Ikon Pass, you can preload your ski days now; otherwise, pick up lift tickets in town or at the resort base. Get gear tuned and ready for the first day on snow. Many local ski shops offer quick edge-and-wax service to prepare for Utah’s famously dry powder.
6:00 PM – Enjoy a home-cooked welcome dinner and debrief on the coming days
Day 2 – Sunday, March 8 | Brighton Resort
07:30 AM – Breakfast is served
Enjoy your breakfast at the accommodation, served by the PeakHouse crew.
08:30 AM – Depart for the Brighton base area.
Brighton averages over 500 inches of snow annually, and its inland location means snow stays cold and dry well into spring. The lift network may be compact, but it offers everything from mellow beginner terrain off Explorer and Majestic chairs to challenging steeps in Milly Bowl. Experts can hike from Mount Millicent for short but intense chutes and cliff drops. Intermediates should head to Snake Creek for wide-open groomers like Thunder Road.
Explore the upper bowls and tree stashes. Brighton’s mix of alpine and glade skiing means you can adjust to changing light and snow conditions throughout the afternoon.
4:00 PM – Wrap up the ski day and head back to the accommodation
6:00 PM – Dinner is served by the PeakHouse team.
Day 3 – Monday, March 9 | Solitude Mountain Resort
07:30 AM – Breakfast at the lodge before heading to ski
08:30 AM – Depart for Solitude
Begin your day on Apex Express and Moonbeam areas, which feature long, scenic groomers ideal for strong intermediates. Advanced skiers can warm up on the steeper pitches off Powderhorn before heading to the mountain’s signature zone: Honeycomb Canyon. This backcountry-style bowl offers natural lines and dramatic descents, but hiking zones require avalanche gear and know-how.
Spend the afternoon chasing shaded powder stashes — Solitude’s orientation means fresh snow can linger for days after a storm. The resort’s 500 inches of annual snowfall often comes in lighter, fluffier storms than other parts of the Wasatch.
4:00 PM – Return to the accommodations
6:30 PM – Enjoy a home-cooked meal with the group at the lodge
Day 4 – Tuesday, March 10 | Alta Ski Area (Skiers Only) / Snowbird for Snowboarders
07:30 AM – Group breakfast at the lodge
08:30 AM – Depart for the resort
Take a short drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Be prepared for possible canyon closures or delays during storms — Alta and Snowbird sit at the end of one of North America’s most avalanche-prone roads.
Skiers head to Alta, a legendary ski-only mountain famous for its deep snow, technical terrain, and old-school charm. Intermediates can start in Albion Basin for scenic blues, while advanced skiers lap Supreme and Sugarloaf for sustained, challenging descents. Experts can aim for iconic lines like High Rustler or Baldy Chutes if conditions allow.
Alta’s high base elevation and north-facing terrain hold snow quality late into the day.
Snowboarders head next door to Snowbird, accessing 3,200 vertical feet of terrain from the Tram. Intermediates can lap Mineral Basin for sunny groomers, while advanced riders take on the steep gullies and trees off the Peruvian lift. Experts can drop into high-consequence terrain from the Cirque.
4:00 PM – Return to the lodge for a rest and gear prep for tomorrow
6:30 PM – Optional group dinner & après in town
Options ranging from casual Mexican to upscale New American dining in Salt Lake’s Sugarhouse neighborhood.
Day 5 – Wednesday, March 11 | Snowbird
07:30 AM – Homemade breakfast at the lodge.
08:30 AM – Depart for Snowbird
Take the Tram to the 11,000-foot summit for your first run of the day. Experts can drop straight into steep classics like Great Scott or Silver Fox, while intermediates warm up on the long blues of Mineral Basin. Advanced skiers should explore the Little Cloud and Peruvian lifts for challenging groomers and adventurous tree skiing.
Spend the afternoon chasing spring corn on sunny aspects or ducking into shaded north faces for preserved powder. Snowbird’s vast vertical and variety of terrain make it one of the most versatile mountains in the Wasatch.
4:00 PM – Return to your lodge for a final evening.
6:30 PM – Enjoy a farewell dinner made for you by the PeakHouse team

Day 6 – Thursday, March 12 | Departure OR Addendum
07:30 AM – Breakfast & Departure
Slow morning at the accommodations, or take a short stroll through Salt Lake’s neighborhoods if time allows. Drive to Salt Lake City International Airport if you are departing today.
Optional 2-Day Addendum
08:30 AM – Depart for Snowbasin
Breakfast at your lodge, followed by a quick check of the weather and grooming reports. Snowbasin’s east-facing aspects often soften earlier than the Cottonwood resorts, so plan your runs to take advantage of the morning corduroy.
Load the Strawberry Gondola for sweeping views over Pineview Reservoir and long, open cruisers that are perfect for big, carving turns. Intermediates can lap mellow groomers in this zone, while advanced skiers make their way to John Paul Express for steeper pitches, mogul fields, and tree runs right out of the base.
Take the Allen Peak Tram to access No Name Bowl and the Lower Pyramids for wide-open powder fields and technical chutes. Experts can hike to Lone Tree or Middle Bowl Cirque for exposed lines directly in view of the lodge — a true test piece for confident skiers.
Wrap up the day with a final groomer down to the base, then enjoy the uncrowded lodge atmosphere for a quick drink before heading back toward Salt Lake.
4:00 PM – Depart for the accommodations
6:30 PM – Optional group dinner & après in town
Options ranging from casual Mexican to upscale New American dining in Salt Lake’s Sugarhouse neighborhood.
Day 7 – Friday, March 13 | Deer Valley (Skiers Only)
07:30 AM – Breakfast at the lodging
08:30 AM – Depart for Deer Valley
Head toward Park City for a day on Deer Valley’s famously manicured slopes. Check grooming reports — this resort is legendary for its corduroy.
Start in the new Deer Valley East terrain expansion, which adds nearly 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. Beginners can explore long, scenic greens like the nearly five-mile Green Monster off Neptune Express, while intermediates cruise the perfectly groomed runs off Keetly and Galena chairs. Advanced skiers head to the steeper lines off Revelator and Vulcan, or test the new runs cut into Big Dutch Peak.
Pause for an optional lodge experience — Deer Valley is known for luxurious dining options, from slope-side fine dining to gourmet grab-and-go. Snowshoe Tommy’s and Cushing’s Cabin offer a quicker bite without skimping on quality.
Spend the afternoon chasing sun-softened snow across the resort’s six peaks, stringing together long runs that flow from high alpine terrain into sheltered glades. The resort’s lower elevation means spring conditions can arrive early, but an extensive snowmaking system keeps trails in top shape.
Ski your final run back to the base and take in the view over the Wasatch before calling it a day.
4:00 PM – Depart the resort
Transfer to the airport for your flight home
6:30 PM – Dinner at the accommodations
Enjoy one last meal with the PeakHouse crew, then pack up for tomorrow’s departure
Day 8 – March 14 | Departure
