Intermediates: head to the Valley House Quad to avoid the lift lines of Super Bravo. Get some laps in on Sugarbush’s fantastic Gad Peak cruisers.
Advanced/Expert: Start the day on the North Lynx Triple, which is home to some nice leg burners that will get you ready for the truly daunting steeps Sugarbush has to offer. If time permits, head to Heaven’s Gate to check out the iconic Paradise and Ripcord trails.
Sugarbush Lunch (Optional): Meet up with the crew at the Lincoln Peak base lodge to grab a bite! Either bring your own sandwich from the ski lodge (included with trip cost) or grab some cafeteria food (approximately $15-$25).
Afternoon of skiing/riding Sugarbush:
Beginners: continue exploring Gate House, and perhaps take a ride up the Super Bravo lift if you feel ready!
Intermediates: head up to the Heaven’s Gate lift, which rises to the top of Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak! Check out the Jester run, which has some of the best views of any Vermont ski trail.
Advanced/Expert: This is the moment you’ve been waiting for—a trip to Sugarbush’s legendary Castlerock area. This ungroomed, natural-snow-only area has no easy ways down, and it’s famous for offering what might be the most intense in-bounds terrain in Vermont. NOTE: if it’s a powder day, we will most likely switch the morning and afternoon itineraries around.
Après at the chalet: Head back to the chalet to relax and unwind before dinner. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Burger dinner: Time to carb and protein load after a cardio-intensive day on the slopes! We’ll have burgers, chicken sandwiches, and vegetarian options
Hit the bar (Optional): Go back to the bar for round 2! Or hang out in the hostel’s common area and enjoy complimentary drinks.
Day 3: Skiing/Riding at Mad River Glen (Saturday)
Catered Breakfast: Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the hostel. Lunch meat and generous snacks will be available to pack sandwiches for the slopes.
Morning and Early Afternoon of Skiing/Riding at Mad River Glen (optional)
For our second day, we’re heading to Mad River Glen, one of the most iconic and legendary ski areas in the Northeast. Famous for its natural snow, challenging terrain, and old-school single chairlift, this mountain is a must-visit for anyone who loves classic New England skiing.
Beginners: While Mad River Glen is known for its expert terrain, beginners can enjoy Birdland, a dedicated area with scenic and mellow trails like Easy Way and Lark. These runs are perfect for soaking in the mountain’s charm without getting in over your head.
Intermediates: Head up the Sunny Side Double to explore some of the best blue cruisers at Mad River Glen, like Quacky and Cricket. If you're feeling confident, test your skills on Upper Antelope, a long, winding trail that lets you take in the stunning views of the Green Mountains.
Advanced/Expert: This is the ultimate playground for advanced skiers. Take the legendary Single Chair to the summit and dive into Paradise, one of the most infamous trails in the East, filled with tight trees, natural features, and mandatory drops. If you’re craving bumps, Catamount Bowl and Fall Line offer thrilling, classic New England skiing.
Snowboarders - don’t worry! The Mad River Glen day is optional, and another day at Sugarbush is available as well.
Evening
Taco dinner: Delicious taco bar to round out the day of skiing/riding.
Hit the town (optional): Go into the town of Warren to check out some local bars! Or hang out in the hostel’s common area and enjoy complimentary drinks.
You’ll get catered breakfast and dinner throughout the whole trip!
Day 4: Skiing/Riding at Sugarbush (Sunday)
Catered Breakfast: Start out the day at the hostel with a hearty breakfast. Lunch meat and generous snacks will be available to pack for the slopes.
Departure from accommodation: Pack up belongings for departure to hometowns straight from the resort!

Beginners: check out the Green Mountain Express area for the gentler lower-mountain terrain of Mount Ellen.
Intermediates: head to the North Ridge Express Quad to check out the best cruisers at Mount Ellen, including Rim Run, Elbow, and Lookin’ Good.
Advanced/Expert: head right to the summit! Check out F.I.S., which is the steepest trail at Sugarbush, and Lower F.I.S., which is the longest ski run at the resort.
Bonus: if it’s open, ride the Slide Brook Express Quad between the Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen sides. As the longest chairlift in the world, this ride is a commitment, but it’s about as beautiful as an East Coast lift ride can get!
Depart Mount Ellen between 1-4pm - transportation provided back to New York or Boston.
This trip is going to be both epic and reasonably-priced. Don’t miss out.

And because we want this to be the best ski weekend you’ve ever been on, this isn’t just some ordinary ski trip, it’s a turn-key experience with every part of the trip already planned out. Our hope is that this is the most memorable East Coast ski trip you’ve ever been on.
Come explore some of the most scenic slopes in Southern Vermont.
Itinerary
PeakHouse Vermont Trip 2 is built around an approachable, high-energy New England ski weekend, with plenty of variety both on and off the slopes. We’ve planned an itinerary that works for a wide range of skiers, from first-timers and progressing intermediates to park skiers and advanced riders looking to explore Mount Snow’s North Face. With an optional Okemo day for smoother groomer laps and a different Vermont mountain experience, the trip gives everyone room to ski the weekend their way. Most importantly, every day includes social events designed to help you actually get to know the people you’re traveling with.

Day 1: Vermont Arrival (Thursday)

Pasta Dinner Kick-Off: Fresh pasta dinner at the accommodation prepped by our team. Happy hour and ice breakers in the downstairs bar area (yes, the house has a bar with darts!)
Mount Snow boasts the only bubble lift in southern Vermont and plenty of good cruising terrain.
Day 2: Skiing/Riding at Mount Snow (Friday)
Catered Breakfast: Start out the day at the hostel with a hearty breakfast. Lunch meat and generous snacks will be available to pack sandwiches for the slopes.
Day of skiing/riding Mount Snow:
Beginners: Start on the Main Face with progression terrain off the lower lifts. Mount Snow is relatively approachable here, with wide trails and predictable pitch. The goal is getting comfortable linking runs and using high-speed lifts.
Intermediates: Focus on Main Face cruisers early, then branch out. Mount Snow’s strength for this level is fast, repeatable laps with minimal friction. Expect to cover a lot of vertical without much effort.
Advanced/Expert: Start exploring North Face by late morning. This is where the steepest, most sustained terrain lives at Mount Snow, including some surprisingly demanding mogul runs.
Mount Snow Lunch (Optional): Meet up with the crew at the main base lodge to grab a bite! Either bring your own sandwich from the ski lodge (included with trip cost) or grab some cafeteria food (approximately $15-$25).
Afternoon of skiing/riding Mount Snow:
Beginners: As the day goes on, focus on lower-traffic areas and repetition. Mount Snow is a great place to build consistency because the terrain is predictable.
Intermediates: Mix in Sunbrook for a quieter experience and better flow. This is one of the more underrated parts of the mountain and a good escape from Main Face congestion.
Advanced / Expert: Continue exploring North Face, but also venture over to Bear Trap for bump laps surrounded by… loud speakers?
Terrain Park (All Levels): This entirely-freestyle terrain pod is Mount Snow’s defining feature, and even non-park skiers should at least see it.
Darts night: Our chalet has darts - let’s get a game going! Or hang out in the hostel’s common area and enjoy complimentary drinks.
We couldn’t resist throwing in an Okemo clock tower visit on a PeakHouse Vermont trip this winter.
Day 3: Skiing/Riding at Okemo (Saturday)
Prepped Breakfast: Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the house. Lunch meat and generous snacks will be available to pack sandwiches for the slopes.
Morning and Early Afternoon of Skiing/Riding at Okemo (optional)
For our second day, we’re heading to Okemo, considered by some to be the greatest ski resort ever built.
Beginners: Okemo is one of the easiest places in Vermont to progress. The terrain is forgiving, the trails are wide, and the lift network makes it simple to move around without getting in over your head.
Intermediates: This is where Okemo really shines. Long, perfectly groomed cruisers let you stack vertical and build confidence quickly. It’s one of the best “just ski all day” mountains in the East.
Advanced/Expert: Okemo isn’t about extreme terrain. Guests of advanced proficiency will most enjoy high-speed carving runs and solid-but-not-particularly-demanding glades. Think of it as a reset day rather than a challenge day.
The Okemo day is a 1-hour detour from the house. For those who prefer to stay closer, another day at Mount Snow is available as well.
Evening
Taco dinner: Delicious taco night to round out the day of skiing/riding.
Hit the town (optional): Go into the town of Dover to check out some local bars! Or hang out in the chalet’s common area and enjoy complimentary drinks.
Our team will be making breakfast and dinner for you throughout the whole trip!
Day 4: Skiing/Riding at Mount Snow (Sunday)
Catered Breakfast: Start out the day at the hostel with a hearty breakfast. Lunch meat and generous snacks will be available to pack for the slopes.
Departure from accommodation: Pack up belongings for departure to hometowns straight from the resort!
Morning and early afternoon of skiing/riding Mount Snow.
